Commercial Intake Filtration
Side Access Carbon
Side Access Carbon housing removes gaseous contaminants from the airstream through adsorption and in some cases chemical neutralization. Each refillable Carbon tray is furnished with 45 pounds of activated charcoal per 1,000 cfm of rated capacity. Conformed to a 4 x 8 mesh, the high quality activated charcoal is effective on a large range of common contaminants. AAF also offers alternative medias such as activated alumina impregnated with Potassium Permanganate. The impregnant chemically neutralizes absorbed contaminants such as Formaldehyde, SO2 and H2S..
Side Access Demister
The AAF Demister is designed to protect high-efficiency filters; air handling equipment; and the served space from mist, fog, and other liquid droplets. When these contaminants are effectively stripped from the return air stream, the end result is enhanced air quality, reduced maintenance, and more effective coil performance.
Side Access Diffuser
The AAF Side Access Diffuser housing is engineered for use with air handling units or other side access equipment to protect downstream components from high velocity air flow patterns. This is accomplished by use of a 1⁄2″ flattened expanded metal baffle plate which tends to distribute the air evenly over the entire filter surface. The Diffuser housing has exceptional structural strength. The housing is constructed of 16-gauge galvanized material as standard, with options for 304 stainless steel and aluminized steel. It utilizes 1″ wide flanged, welded construction, vertical supports and angle braces.
Side Access Flat Bank
The Side Access Flat Bank housing is a general purpose filter housing which provides mechanical strength, ease of use, and economy. It is used when only prefilters are required. The Flat Bank housing has exceptional structural strength. It utilizes 1″ wide turned out flanges, welded construction, vertical supports and angle braces. Gasket sealed access doors are hinged and have over-center draw type plated latches. The housing is designed to operate at up to 6″ w.g. negative or positive pressure. Optional high pressure construction is available for service up to 10″ w.g.
Side Access Leverlock
Side Access Leverlock housings are designed to deliver a fail-safe pressure seal with no dirty air by-pass. Sealing pressure is applied through locking arm actuators and movable horizontal pressure bars which force the filter against the gasket surface. Each filter row is served by individual locking mechanisms and each has to be actuated before the housing door can be secured. The Leverlock’s welded construction utilizes wide turned out flanges, vertical supports and angle braces. The housing is designed to operate at up to 6” w.g. negative or positive pressure. Optional high pressure construction is available for service up to 10″ w.g.
Side Access Vee-Bank
The Side Access Vee-Bank housing is a general purpose filter housing which provides mechanical strength, ease of use, and economy. The Vee-Bank housing is used when only prefilters are required. Filters are arranged into V-banks for doubled capacity. The Vee-Bank housing has exceptional structural strength. It utilizes 1″ wide turned out flanges, welded construction, vertical supports and angle braces. Gasket sealed access doors are hinged and have over-center draw-type plated latches. The Vee-Bank housing is designed to operate at up to 6” w.g. negative or positive pressure. Optional high pressure construction is available for service up to 10″ w.g. The Vee-Bank housing is offered in 96 sizes, spanning heights from nominal 1′ through 8′, and widths from nominal 1′ through 12′. Housing depth is 30 inches.
Side Access PolySeal
The Side Access Polyseal housing utilizes a high density Nylon piled gasket which is automatically positioned against the final filter as it is installed into the mounting track. The “air actuated” seal prevents dirty air bypass while retaining its integrity over time. Vertical sealing between filters is provided by gasket strips applied to the sides of the final filters and to the housing doors. Side Access PolySeal housing is offered in 96 sizes and 3 housing depths. It will accommodate both 2″ and 4″ prefilters and final filters used in combination or individually. When used with other AAF IAQ-engineered filter products, the Side Access PolySeal effectively removes particulate air contaminants from the air supply.
HVAC HEPA
Designed to meet the stringent requirements of HEPA filter applications, HVAC HEPA housings are engineered to perform reliably even in the toughest environments.
The innovative design ensures uniform and constant pressure against the sealing surface of the HEPA filter. For reliable performance, HVAC HEPA housings are built with industrial steel construction and reinforced doors sealed by a 1-1/2″ wide Neoprene rubber gasket surface. Intermittent welding with caulking provides up to 6″ positive or negative pressure. Both gasket and gel seal models are available. HVAC HEPA housings come with numerous options for installation flexibility, including: double door accessibility, half-size units, insulation, pressure testing, static taps, and a 2″ or 4″ wide prefilter track.
